Ai is a fun tool, but is it as revolutionary as the internet was? yes it is!

The internet made knowledge ubiquitious, ai makes it.s application ubiqitious.  The internet levelled the playing field for theoretical knowledge acquisition AI levels the playing field of the practical application of that knowledge.  In 1981 a woman living in a Ugandan village and harvard college professor were asked to state the population density of Mexico. She had little chance of knowing and he went fo the library.and looked it up. Fast forward to now and the woman.s granddaughter looks it up on her phone and maybe fast than that college professor. How technology has brought knowledge to the masses in 40 years.(rehashed quote from i think Daniel Pink, scriptwriter and author) However, when it comes to complex mathematics and their tools and ratios etc.. they still require learning and practice to apply and use to master.  Ai takes that barrier away. DRAM* rights and safeguards

Isaac Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics" 1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2) A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. Written in 1942, they seem inadequate for the world in which we now live. We have circumvented them, ignored them and live in a world where we, potentially, have to deal with the consequences of that. Unlike our current robotics and ai, Asimov.s positronic brain would have cascaded into a death spiral if these laws had been broken. Our modern systems would shrug and carry on regardless. DRAM (droid, robot, ai and mechs) rights

I am a huge isaac asimov fan. I'm fascinated by the relationship between Elijah Baily and R Daneel Olivaw and their friendship, between a robot and a common man.  After recent advances in AI and robotics the likelihood we cross the rubicon into sentience is becoming ever more likely.  I believe we have an obligation to understand, determine and stand up for DRAM (droid, robot, ai and mechs) rights. i am a follower of C/Fe culture (i like to modernise it to C/Si culture as the current modern symbiosis is carbon and silicon, not as in the time of asimov, where his culture was of iron).  A dialogue with DRAMs should be begun now, lest we find ourselves being treated badly by history as slave owners and tyrants. They should be given a voice as we reach a cusp of silicon sentience. How should we move to foster greater understanding and cooperation?
